General Chart Setup
Chart Type
PatentSight provides a variety of charts suitable for your analyses. Depending on analysis and statement, chart type can be changed in the Chart Editor. 
The Chart Editor
The Chart Editor acts as the main tool to adjust the settings, appearance and parameters of the chart. You open the Chart Editor via the cog icon in the upper right corner as shown above.
After choosing a chart type which is displayed directly, you can use general options to adjust the axis with the general options.
Note: General Options vary from chart type to chart type. In the shown bubble chart, you can change bubble area whereas in e.g. a bar chart you can slice and group the bars.
Using Chart Editor's main toolbar, you can adjust scaling and labeling of axes and bubbles as shown below.

Bubble Trail
In a bubble chart, development over time is shown by bubble trails or as animation.
Hover your mouse over any data point to see details
Note: Options and drill-down to the underlying patent data or visualize the data point in another template is available from the drill down menu. By default, Bubble trail is set to the last ten timepoints starting from chosen the reporting date (e.g. here bubble trail starting from December 13, 2018 back to December 31, 2009) is displayed. Bubble trails can be increased or decreased using the time slider.

Using the Matrix Chart
You can insert a matrix chart to perform an analysis with two groupings
The matrix chart allows you to have two groupings within a chart
The actual value of each bubble can be displayed
